To Our Amazing Aledo Teachers: You Have My Full Support

Dear Aledo ISD Teachers and Staff,

Thank you. I see the incredible work you do every day, and I know this year has come with its challenges. Your commitment to your students, your classrooms, and this community is felt deeply by so many - myself included. You are the heartbeat of our schools, and I’m grateful for all you do.

There’s a narrative going around suggesting I don’t support our teachers. That’s simply not true. I’m running to support you - to make sure your voice is heard and your work is respected. My concerns are about district-level leadership decisions - not the educators who are doing their best for our children every day. You deserve to be supported, empowered, and heard.

One of the reasons I’m running for school board is to stand up for staff like Dr. Miles Lewis and other teachers and principals who were treated unfairly. No one in our district should feel silenced, ignored, or punished for speaking up.

If elected, I will emphasize the importance of the anonymous surveys, and ensure that your voices are heard directly by the board.

I also understand how discouraging it is to face another year without a raise, while the superintendent continues to receive salary increases. There are superintendents that have turned down raises during hard financial times as a sign of solidarity with their staff. That's the kind of leadership I believe Aledo deserves.

Dr. Bohn’s salary for:
2019: $211,283
2020: $227,535
2021: $234,036
2022: $279,679
2023: $290,139
2024: $297,935
Current: $311,291

You have my full support, and I will continue to advocate for transparency, inclusion, and fairness- for all students and for you.

Sincerely,
Jeremiah Stoker
